Autumn 2020 news update

The one bit of news that is on everyone’s mind at this time is Covid 19, therefore we hope that all our customers and their relations are well and continue to keep safe in these turbulent times.

We would like to thank our customers for their understanding in that they have had to wait much longer for their systems due to Classicfabs having to close for three months during the summer following Scottish Government Covid guidelines.

We are almost back to our six – eight week delivery times for all systems. Thanks for bearing with us.

On the technical front from our last newsletter, has been the amount of orders we have received for our Series 3 V12 E-Type four pipe systems combined with our new V12 tubular manifold, this combination has proved popular and we continue to export all our systems to every continent including South America.

The main project we have been working on for the last eleven months is a Catalytic Converter that will form part of all our systems.

We hope to make these a standard supply in 2021 and have had nothing but positive feedback from customers that we have spoken to.

They will also be available to Retro fit to your current system.

This design of CAT is exclusive to Classicfabs and will be available on the majority of our systems from December 2020.

Classicfabs see this as a product that could become a requirement on Classic cars in the future. Our system is a ‘patented’ design and Classicfabs own the ‘Worldwide rights’ to these systems and assemblies for Classic / Historic cars which have no Catalytic converters as standard.

We would like to thank Angus Moss of Moss Jaguar www.mossjaguar.com  in Letchworth for the use of his own E-Type for testing.

Ed Watson of  www.edward-watson.co.uk  for the use of major engine components to get the design correct.

Not least of all our partners in the development and testing of these components Geoff Taylor of Taylor Automotive Engineering www.taylor-automotive.co.uk
